What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in
Guests are welcomed between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on the day of arrival. Any late arrival after 8:00 PM must be reported at least 24 hours in advance to obtain the owner’s agreement. Without prior notice, access to the property cannot be guaranteed.
Check-out
Departure must take place before 10:00 AM on the last day of the stay. Any extension must be agreed upon in writing by the owner and cannot be guaranteed without prior confirmation.
How many guests can stay at the villa?
The villa can accommodate up to 10 guests in total, across the main house and the independent Gwen House studio.
Is the pool heated and secured?
Yes, the Villa Mayumba pool is fully secured, ensuring complete peace of mind particularly for families with young children. It is heated from April to September, subject to weather conditions. Maintenance, winterisation and seasonal start-up are carried out by specialist company Piscines de France, guaranteeing professional upkeep and optimal water quality throughout the season.
Is bed linen provided?
Yes, bed linen is included in your stay. Sheets and bath towels are provided for every guest, so you can arrive light and enjoy your holiday from the very first moment.
Are pets welcome?
Yes, pets are welcome at Villa Mayumba! We accept dogs, up to a maximum of two, provided they are house-trained and kept on a lead in the outdoor areas. A flat fee of €150 per week is charged to cover additional cleaning and property maintenance. Please let us know when booking if you are bringing a pet, so we can prepare your stay in the best possible conditions.
Is cleaning included in the rental price?
End-of-stay cleaning is carried out by a professional cleaner. It is charged at €250 and is due at the end of your stay.
How does the booking and payment process work?
Booking Request
Simply fill in the online booking form. Each request is reviewed and manually validated by our team within 24 hours. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your booking is accepted.
Payment by Credit Card
Upon booking, a bank imprint is recorded. Once your reservation is confirmed, a deposit of 30% is charged. The remaining balance is automatically debited 60 days before the start of your stay.
Payment by Bank Transfer
Once your reservation is confirmed, a deposit of 30% is required by bank transfer. A reminder email will be sent to you for the balance payment 60 days before your arrival.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes, a security deposit of €2,000 is required upon check-in. It will only be charged in the event of damage identified during the check-out inspection. If no damage is found, it will be fully refunded within a few days of your departure. If you choose to pay for your stay by bank transfer, the security deposit will be collected on arrival, in cash or by cheque.
What are the cancellation and modification conditions?
Cancellation
Any cancellation made more than 2 months before the start of the stay entitles you to a full refund of all amounts paid. For cancellations made after this deadline, all amounts paid are non-refundable.
Date Changes
A change of dates is possible up to 2 months before your arrival, subject to availability. After this deadline, no date changes can be accepted.
Option Changes
Options selected at the time of booking (pets, additional equipment, etc.) may be modified or added up to the day before your arrival.

Is the tourist tax included in the rental price?
The tourist tax is not included in the rental price. It is payable directly on site upon your arrival. The amount, calculated per person per night, will be specified in your rental agreement.
